You might be married to the worst man on earth, like Asyiah who married with Fir’aun but it did not actually changed her (aqidah). You might be married to the best man on earth, e.g.: the prophet of Allah, but it doesn’t mean you are going to Jannah with him, like the wife of Nabi Luth a.s. You might not married to any man, like Maryam but Allah put you higher than other women on earth. Put love and trust on Allah, and Allah is the main focus.

Menurutku music soothes the soul. Even though we’re gonna be doctors, ga ada salahnya kalo kita bermain dengan musik. Toh dengan bermain musik, masa depan kita ga suram-suram amat (insya Allah). Jadi dokter bukan berarti kita ga boleh berinteraksi dengan hal-hal lain selain buku pelajaran. Alangkah monotonnya hidup kita kalo tiap hari kerjaan kita kuliah-pulang-kuliah-pulang. Aku sih butuh sesuatu yang bisa menghidupkan, contohnya musik. Musik adalah seni. Dunia kedokteran adalah seni dan sains. Melatih kreativitas, siapa tau jadi dokter bedah nantinya.

Contohnya dr. Tompi. Dia bisa jadi dokter terus jadi penyanyi. And I wasn’t gonna mention this, but my very own friend Dama. Dia bisa main music (tapi ehem jangan nyanyi) dan dia tetep got straight As during his preclinic and clinical medschool lives and graduated with honors. Jadi jangan anggap aku terlalu suka sama musik jadi aku ga belajar (walaupun sedikit benar hehe). Berkutat berjam-jam dengan garageband di mac dan berusaha bermain gitar (but failed) adalah salah dua hal yang enak banget dilakuin di waktu senggang, misalnya sekarang (yang besok ujian).

Harusnya sih tidur, but these activities keep me healthy, and I’m not planning on failing subjects during school. So you’ve got nothing to worry about, my friend (and Mom).
